The PocketKnoweldge Viewer was built on top of PocketKnowledge, an archival system developed by EdLab prior to my arrival. The problem with PK was that it could not display the thousands of wonderful images contained within. I set out to develop a gallery that could display those images using the existing database and graphic language. The result is the PK-Viewer. One of the key functionalities I added was the idea of user action persistence. That is, if a viewer is on the second page on the thumbnail view, moved to the single image view, and then goes back to the thumbnail view, the user will be placed where he/she left off.
